Sales Engineer Xora

Job Description:

Xora is looking for a responsible, highly motivated sales engineer. The candidate will work primarily with regional account managers, customers and partners. Responsibilities include performing installations, demoing products and leading technical presentations. The candidate will have relevant technical experience and skills as well as excellent communication and presentation skills. The candidate will be responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.
Responsibilities:

Develop expertise in Xora?s solution set, including APIs, integration middleware offerings and pre-defined connectors to common back-office software;
Support sales team in qualifying customers, identifying integration and operational requirements, and helping close large opportunities;
Take a consultative role in supporting enterprise customers, including making solution recommendations, troubleshooting development/configuration issues and managing escalation to Support and Engineering.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Technical background with sales engineer experience supporting business applications;
Experience with Web Service APIs;
Good understanding of sales process and the roles and responsibilities of a sales engineer;
3-5 years industry experience in sales engineering;
Thorough understanding of Internet protocols (HTTP, SMTP, FTP) as well as some understanding of mobile technology and/or GPS and location-based services;
Experience in selling software to Fortune 500 companies;
Strong technical presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written;
Ability to work independently, positive attitude;
BSCS or equivalent;
Knowledge of networking topology, TCP/IP protocol, network configuration and components (firewalls, routers, etc.)
Knowledge of Perl, SQL databases, Apache, HTTP and LDAP
