Play an integral role in the delivery of innovative applications and services for the IPTV industry. The successful candidate will participate in the delivery of IPTV software ? for set-top boxes, PCs, and mobile devices - that allows for the delivery of carrier-grade video services, including high-definition (HD) and standard definition (SD) television, Electronic Program Guide (EPG), video on demand (VOD), pay-per-view (PPV), digital video recording (DVR), whole-home DVR, network DVR, interactive application widgets, etc. over an IP network.
Provide the primary technical interface to the technical management at major existing customer accounts.
Communicate Minerva?s technical direction to major accounts to enable them to plan system evolution.
Respond to major account requests for detailed technical descriptions, message flow, diagrams, and architecture of existing products.
Design creative technical solutions to major account needs with existing product capabilities.
Provide trouble-shooting expertise and leadership for complex issues at major accounts.
Drive support ticket resolution for major accounts by working cross-functionally with Quality Assurance and Engineering.
Create upgrade plans for major accounts and assist the Professional Services team in performing the upgrades.
Test upgrade processes with a special eye to complex systems at major accounts.
Work with Sales Engineering to promote new releases/features/modules to major accounts.
Track major account issues and feature requests after handover from Program Management.
Act as a liaison to Product Management regarding major accounts and their future product needs.
Required Skills & Abilities
Strong written and oral communication skills.
High degree of customer-focused sensitivity. Strong interpersonal skills.
Must be able to quickly learn a broad array of technologies and apply knowledge to real-world problems.
Technical depth in the following areas: Red Hat Linux, Oracle 11g, Web-based client-server technology.
Excellent PC skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio)
Working knowledge of Telco/Carriers
A real desire to dig into a complex IPTV ecosystem and get your hands dirty with real-world technical issues.
A good understanding of Oracle Real Application Clusters, Oracle Dataguard, IPTV middleware, Conditional Access Systems, Set-top boxes, and TV applications.
Minimum of 5 years of experience providing high-level technical support to Tier 1/Tier 2 Telcos
Experience managing multiple clients simultaneously.
Computer Science or Electrical Engineering Bachelor/Master?s Degree or equivalent experience
