Composite pioneered the data virtualization category, one of the hottest enterprise IT markets today. Composite, as the data virtualization gold standard, continues to grow rapidly to meet this accelerating demand. Composite is adding an ?A player? Sales Engineer to our sales team.
In this position you will be the technical representative for Composite Software?s products. Your primary responsibilities will include the following:
Responsibilities
Work with the regional field office technically representing Composite Software products
Conduct business and technical discovery to best position Composite solutions and articulate business impact
Manage, implement, and drive proof of concepts, field trials, and pilots
Present and articulate technical concepts and map customer needs to current and future product offerings
Work with sales team to develop responses to RFIs and prepare commercial proposals for customers
Work with Composite customers and partners to support ongoing sales activities
Provide product feedback to Composite Product Marketing and Engineering
Work closely with field sales representatives to strategize on accounts from both a business and technical perspective
Qualifications
5+ years pre-sales experience
Energetic self-starter; able to effectively prioritize activities
University degree in engineering or computer science
Hands-on, technical, problem solver
Prior experience with BI, ETL, DWH, and EAI solutions
In-depth knowledge and experience with data base concepts, architectures, and deployments
Prior experience with data modeling
Understanding of Windows and UNIX environments
Development experience working with Java or other OO programming languages
Understanding of web services and associated protocols/standards/specifications ? SOAP, REST, WSDL, XSLT, XML, JSON
Development experience working with Java or other OO programming languages
In-depth understanding of Windows and UNIX/Linux environments
History of success in large, complex sales situations
Clear writing skills. Highly articulate; accomplished public presentation skills
Proven ability to explain complex technical concepts in an audience appropriate manner
Travel required
Additional Desired Qualifications
Current knowledge of data virtualization, including solution trends, market awareness and usage patterns
DBA experience
Understanding of mainframe environments
