The Sales/Pre-Sales Engineer (West Coast) will provide technical assistance to the Shunra sales team, helping to align customer business and technical needs with the Shunra solution set. The SE will assist and be strategically located to support Shunra's business in the West Coast (territory coverage extends from Nebraska to California). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, participation in sales and conference calls, delivering product presentations and demonstrations, managing customer evaluations, attending/staffing industry events and providing product training both internally and externally.
The Sales Engineer will also address customer technical concerns, maintain excellent customer relations and help drive the success of the sales process.
Required Skills and Qualifications
BA/BS degree
Minimum 2+ years Pre-Sales Engineering experience and immediate prior experience as a Sales Engineer
Proven track record working as part of a sales team while providing technical leadership
Technical background and experience working with complex software, hardware and network-related solutions
Strong understanding of IP networking technologies
Excellent understanding of TCP/IP networking technologies and application deployment and/or testing
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Fluent in English
Good organizational skills, ability to manage and track the status of multiple projects/accounts
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Knowledge of Windows NT, XP and Windows 7

Network hardware configuration knowledge
Industry background in testing, Q/A or relevant vendor (for example, Compuware, Mercyry, Segue, NetIQ, Concord, Ixia, NetQOS)
