A Sales Engineer is the primary technical resource for the field sales force. A Sales Engineer is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products. The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users, and must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. The ability to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle is a very important part of this position.
Primary Responsibilities
Work closely with the internal Clarabridge sales team to evangelize the Clarabridge product to new prospects and existing customers
Design and deliver product presentations based on the necessities and competitive sales condition
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the company products, functions, features and benefits to prospective customers
Assist with writing sales proposals that employ Clarabridge as a strategic component of a customer?s overall VOC (Voice of the Customer) solution. This will also include responding to prospect RFP/RFI?s that focus in-part or in-hole on the deployment of a Clarabridge solution
Install, configure, optimize, and customize the Clarabridge solution on remotely hosted and customer premise hardware for purposes of POC (proof-of-concept) deployments
As part of the Clarabridge POC process the Sales Engineer will also be responsible for the overall design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of strategic Clarabridge product components using customer-driven feedback as both the requirements and acceptance base of the project
Manage multiple concurrent customer facing projects (Proof of Concepts and Pilots)
Become fluent in the text analytics marketplace, including entity extraction, search engines, and competitive solutions.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master?s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
3-5 years project management/implementation experience. Candidate should have an excellent track record of delivering high-quality work
Working knowledge of MicroStrategy, Cognos, Business Objects, OBIEE, or other Business Intelligence platform and tools
1+ years experience with SQL/4GL (PL/SQL/TSQL) and data warehousing schema design is desirable
Ability to work well in a fast paced environment
Proven success-presenting technology as business solution
Proven success selling in complicated sales surroundings with both technical and business buyers
Ability to make effective presentations or demonstrations in time constrained situations
Ability to prioritize the work in a multi-tasking environment
Strong selling and sales aptitude
Effective verbal, written and presentation skills
Ability to travel as required (50%)
