Mile High View:
- Certona is looking for a seasoned Sales Engineer who is capable of effectively articulating technology and product positioning to a variety of audiences including senior executives and advanced technical personnel.
- This role will serve as a field based technical solutions leader who will work closely with sales contributors, client services, product management, prospects and partners as a subject-matter expert to demonstrate the technical and business value of our solutions.
Essential responsibilities include:
Develop an in-depth understanding of:
- Certona's Resonance platform capabilities
- Our approach to implementation and support services
- Prospect / Client technology environments
Support our pre-sales efforts including:
- Understanding technical needs of prospects and explain specifically how Resonance will improve their business
- Performing online and in-person demonstrations of our Insight Management Console
- Creating content for sales tools to evangelize our competitive differentiators
- Setting proper project and technical expectations to prospects
- Assist in responding to RFPs and RFIs
Provide feedback on:
- Potential new product features to product management to influence future development.
- Competitive landscape and emerging technologies in order to best position Certona in the marketplace.
- Proven track record of helping multiple sales contributors close deals with top Retail clients
- Proven ability to provide hands on technical product demonstrations.
- Excellent Presentation, written, and verbal skills
- Ability to travel 25-30% of time
- Implementation or engineering experience with major ecommerce or digital marketing solutions (ecommerce platforms, web analytics, email, search, conversion optimization--.)
- Knowledge of SaaS, Services Oriented Architectures (SOA), Web Services,.NET CF, J2ME, LUA, PERL, JSON and XML
- Knowledge of mobile client architectures, mobile web browser standards (WML, xHTML, CSS, WebKit)
- Relational database experience in Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- 7+ years sales engineering role for digital marketing, business intelligence or ecommerce providers
- Vertical experience in retail and B to B
- Proficient with online presentation and training services (gotomeeting), CRM (Salesforce) and web reporting systems
