The Sales Engineer (SE) is expected to be an extremely motivated, organized, self-starter with exceptional follow-through skills. The key responsibility of this position is ownership of the technical aspects of sales efforts of Healthline Networks? most important opportunities, both existing clients and new prospects. This includes the development and evangelization of the technical superiority and other benefits of Healthline Network?s proposals and assisting in closing deals.
The SE advises and guides prospects in the technical details of the Healthline product offering and provides technical information/support to Business Development/Account Management in achieving revenue objectives. This includes providing input for proposals by producing the technical sections and required technical oriented descriptions, thereby demonstrating how client business goals can be met.
The SE influences customers and diffuses challenges early in the sales process by providing innovative strategies and technical solutions in order to solve our customers? business and technical problems. This activity includes anticipating their long-term needs and identifying appropriate uses of our technology.
The SE also identifies sales opportunities/solutions and positively contributes to both account planning and new client development.
This is a revenue-critical role in a high-momentum and highly strategic area of Healthline Network?s business. Compensation includes base plus a sales commission plan.
Sales Engineer ? Serve as the technical sales contact with key opportunities, responsible for the following activities:
SOW Management ? Guide and document early client requirements to sell solutions that can be easily developed to customers? satisfaction. This includes internal/external communications to make sure defined requirements are achievable and match customer expectations. Create SOWs/contract amendments for review.
Relationship Building ? Facilitate and maintain technical client relationships through regular, pro-active communication, timely follow-through on client requests and coordination of internal resources to document client needs (or account plan goals).
Participation in account planning ? partner with Business Development, Product and other teams to initiate new account plans.
Technical Evangelist/SME - Acknowledged internally and externally as an expert in Healthline product offering. Participate in sales calls and meetings, and assist Account Management and Business Development in closing prospective client opportunities.
3+ years of consumer internet technology experience, ideally with highly customized web-based SaaS solutions
3+ years of Sales Engineer or Client Management experience with Internet technology products or services
Strong problem solving skills. You need to be able to construct solutions to complicated business problems using your knowledge and understanding of our products.
Deep experience in requirements gathering and clear presentation to both the client and internal resources
Ability to diagram and describe data flows and flow charts and identify dependencies, as well as create use cases
All-consuming customer focus (whether individual users or advertisers / licensees).
Must be incorrigibly passionate when presenting to internal and external audiences.
Bachelors degree in computer sciences (CS) or computer information sciences (CIS) preferred
References for recent clients for whom you have provided these services are preferred
