The Sales Engineer reports into Major Accounts and will provide technical assistance to sales staff and account mangers with regards to Mindjet?s product line. This includes participating in client teleconferences and onsite meetings, client follow-up communications, production of functional specification documentation and communications of client requirements to Mindjet?s development group. Additionally, the Sales Engineer will provide services such as: establishing demo environments, researching competitive and complementary products, developing product rollout and upgrade plans, and communicating software changes to the customer.
The Sales Engineer must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of customer goals, problems, and needs at the executive, departmental, and project levels. The Sales Engineer must also have excellent communications skills, oral and written, and be able to effectively communicate advanced MindManager value propositions at all levels within the customer?s organization. The Sales Engineer is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, and presenting a solutions-oriented perspective. The Sales Engineer must possess superior closing skills, as they will serve as the technical closer on many account opportunities.
Qualifications:
? Have 5 or more years Sale Engineering experience in Windows software.
? Possess an in-depth knowledge of product deployment issues and resolutions, and integration of desktops to corporate data structures.
? Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
? Demonstrated experience with integration projects, strategies and business process from both user and developer perspectives.
? A Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related equivalent experience is desired.
? The successful candidate will be required to quickly learn Mindjet?s MindManager product from a technical as well as an end user perspective.
Candidates must have a proven track record (minimum 3-5 years), ideally with two or more years in software solution pre-sales within the software market. This position requires moderate travel.
