Position Description:
The SE is the primary technical resource for the field sales force and is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology sales process from initial qualification, into the demo and evaluation stage, through to the deployment stage. The SE is part of the sales team and is the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products. The sales process at Catbird does not end with the PO since we rely on expansion business within Enterprise accounts, so the sales process continues well after initial deployment.
Position Requirements
The Sales Engineer must be able to
Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.
Identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process including deployment.
Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
Responsibilities:
Position product, value proposition
Development and delivery of product demonstrations
Thorough understanding of competitive offerings and positioning
Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams
Plan and deploy products in both POCs and production deployments
Able to travel throughout sales territory.
Qualifications
Self-motivated with a proven track record in software sales and knowledge of technology.
Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.
Must possess strong presentation skills
Able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails and when submitting reports.
Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive sales and technical approaches.
Must be prepared for extensive travel.
