The Services Engineer provides technical onsite and remote assistance to customers throughout the US. The Services Engineer is a highly technical professional who is responsible for implementing professional service engagements and assignments. In addition, the Services Engineer will be responsible for providing NetMotion Certification Training at regularly scheduled training sessions and customized training at customer sites.
This is a remote position and ideal candidates are in a city that is easy to travel to/from such as New York Metro, Philadelphia, Charlotte, Atlanta, Dallas, Detroit, Chicago, Phoenix, DC Metro or Seattle.
Due to the nature of the role, 50%+ travel is expected although at peak times this may be up to 75%.

Your Role as a Key Contributor
As a Services Engineer you will be expected to quickly come up to speed on the Mobility XE and Locality products, as well as understand how the software can be deployed across networks and utilizing different types of devices ? including laptops, tablets and handhelds ? that are Microsoft Windows based. Your in-depth knowledge of networking, security, firewalls and operating systems will help you to effectively position Mobility XE, while helping to solve difficult technical problems and implementations for customers during professional service engagements.
Work with the Services Manager to perform professional service engagements as needed, which may include NetMotion product upgrades, system audits and product integration, both remote and onsite.
Deliver NetMotion Technical Certification courses from established training materials and processes
Deliver customized NetMotion Technical training at customer locations, as needed.
Provide remote and onsite assistance with integration of authentication products with NetMotion software. These may include: 2FA, Entrust, PhoneFactor and smart cards utilizing MS PKI.
Assist Services Manager in the development and implementation of new service offerings.
Document all activities in Salesforce.com.
Other duties/projects as assigned
You will be able to leverage your past experience working hands-on installing, configuring and trouble-shooting complex network and/or security environments, resulting in a strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing and firewalls to understand potential customer environments. You will be able to really hit the ground running if you have a strong security background, particularly with VPN/firewall products and/or services. It would be very beneficial if you already have your CISSP or other security certification as well as experience working with wireless networking, wireless security and/or wireless management products.
Since you will be remotely based, you must be self-motivated and have a driving personality that helps you to understand when you may need to reach out to others as you need support. You must have worked in a remote/home office previously. You have a lot of freedom in determining your day, but you must be able to consistently align your work to the priorities of your team and the business. You must be able and willing to travel 50%+ of the time.
In depth understanding of software and network engineering
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of network/software engineering experience working with large, enterprise accounts. This may include experience as a Services Engineer, Systems Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, or similar
Strong foundation in network design, configuration and troubleshooting ? current relevant vendor certification is desirable
Full understanding of Microsoft Networking, Microsoft Active Directory Domain Architecture, PKI, and Cisco ACS.
Able to conduct product training in front of small to medium sized groups
Excellent customer service and communication skills
