The primary focus of this position is to support customers with adopting and integrating our products. The SE is a key player in the sales cycle, providing excellent technical support from the pre-sales to the post-sales stage. This position is located in the Southeast territory.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
The Sales Engineer (SE) is responsible for all technical, solution, and competitive aspects of the sale
SEs must be both sales focused and technically astute
They must be successful selling to the enterprise sector the technical merits of the Solera Networks solution
The SE will work, in conjunction with Sales, Marketing, Support and Product Managers to be the technical bridge between our Sales Representatives and their pre-sales customers
The SE will take ownership of the prime technical relationship with our pre-sales customers to drive customer satisfaction by proactively managing and delivering technical information to our customers both onsite, online, and via telephone
Required Skills:
10 + years of enterprise class hardware/software selling experience to enterprise customers including finance, healthcare, manufacturing, high-tech and Fortune 2000 global companies
Expertise in the area of IP networking
Experience with packet capture and analysis techniques and tools
Experience with network security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, malware detection, etc.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies and platforms
Excellent interpersonal, communication, persuasion, presentation and writing skills
Outstanding problem solving skills, including the ability to meet a business requirement with a technical solution
Knowledge of TCP/IP, LANs and network infrastructure
Superior solution scoping abilities, using our existing solution and influencing new product development
Experience with Microsoft Windows NT/2000/XP and/or UNIX (Solaris, Linux, AIX) operating systems
Must be willing to work in a fast paced environment with multiple roles, and demonstrate high emotional intelligence
Bachelors degree is a must
Must be willing to travel
Previous consulting experience implementing enterprise class hardware/software solutions
In-depth knowledge of the IT asset management space
