This is an unparalleled opportunity to be principal contributor and help define the role of a Sales/Solutions Engineer at Mirantis. You?ll be charged with bringing new offerings to market, supporting sales, dazzling customers and delivering strategy and proof of concept engagements.
Develop and deliver custom solutions and presentations, including advanced technical concepts, to key decision makers to address their business issues and needs.
Match Mirantis platform subscriptions and services to customer?s business and technical requirements, and convert them into appropriate engagements and solutions.
Ensure that customer deliverables for deployment projects are delivered on time, and with the highest quality level.
Build long-term business relationships and become a trusted adviser within each named account and maintain customer contact from project conception to completion.
Acquire the technical and product skills required to meet customer requirements
Build and leverage strong OEM and partner relationships
8+ years of proven commercial experience including roles in pre-sales and/or customer-facing consultant
Work with Sales to help qualify, respond to RFI/RFP and be the Technical Evangelist role within large enterprise prospects
Hands on experience with x64 servers and advanced Linux knowledge
Strong understanding of IP networking routing and topologies
Hands on experience with virtualization and any exposure to cloud/ OpenStack
Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies used in the datacenter
Hands on experience with storage and network equipment and one or more of the following:
High Availability Clustering
Virtualization Technologies ? KVM, ESX Server, Xen, AWS
Internet Infrastructure Services ? Apache HTTPD, FTP Servers, DNS, etc?
OpenLDAP/eDirectory/FDS ? Directory Services a plus
Ability to manage multiple issues and projects while maintaining a high level of detail.
Experience managing customer relationship in consulting, account management, or direct support context
Advanced Scripting, some programming and Linux software packaging experience a plus
Relevant IT certification at engineer level, such as RHCE, LPIC-2, CNE, etc., nice-to-have
5+ years or equivalent experience in Linux or UNIX system administration or development.
Superior presentation skills
Ability to be productive in a globally distributed team through self-discipline and self-motivation
