Sales Engineering Manager Core Security Technologies
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED CORE Security is looking to add a high energy, customer-centric Sales Engineering Manager to its Global Go-to-Market Team. In this dynamic role, we are looking for an experienced Sales Engineering Manager who has provided technical sales expertise for market-leading security offerings, has managed distributed Sales Engineering Teams, and is looking to develop and scale an organization to address the growth of our enterprise offerings. The Manager will work as part of the Global Sales Team and oversee sales support (e.g., demonstrations, proofs of concept, etc) of CORE?s Impact Pro and Insight Enterprise products to existing and prospective accounts. This individual is an integral part of the Sales organization, is responsible for the technical skills and career development of the Presales Technical team, and supports the Sales team with pre-sales technical knowledge and presentations. He/she is a key member of the Sales Management team and works closely with Sales managers, prospects, and partners as a subject-matter expert to improve the Sales Engineering processes to meet and exceed customer requirements.
Direct and lead field technical resources to assist the Sales team in winning new customers, expanding ?wallet share? with existing customers and maximizing the Company?s revenue
Manage the efficiency of the Sales Engineering team - set objectives, measure performance, and reward productivity in the team
Work with current and new Sales/Systems Engineers to help coach, mentor, and improve so they may accurately represent CORE?s products in pre-sales activities to prospective customers
Manage Sales Engineering employee issues such as interviewing, hiring, training, professional development, terminations, etc.
Participate in sales calls and on-site visits to explore customer requirements and to explain and articulate the value proposition of CORE's Insight Enterprise solution and CORE Impact Pro which includes features, technical architecture and integration with existing customer infrastructure
Build and deliver custom presentations and sales demonstrations to customers/prospects
Assist with the drafting and review of RFPs and RFIs
Design and manage the delivery of proofs-of-concept (POCs) with key customers, including defining the repeatable process for coordinate requirements gathering and solution architecture at customer/prospect sites
Review functional requirements, functional specifications, architecture options and project statement-of-work/POC agreement documents in support of system quotations to customers/prospects
Work with the Go-to-Market team to develop value propositions, sales strategies, solution use cases, sales demo scripts and other collateral to ensure CORE wins a high percentage of opportunities
Demonstrate subject matter expertise (SME) for CORE?s solutions during sales cycles
Participate in sales conference calls and prospect visits, providing product demonstrations in person and via WebEx, and working with prospects at both a technical and business level to show how CORE?s solutions can provide value
Participate as a technical resource at trade shows and conferences, when needed
10+ years of professional experience as part of an enterprise software company, including 5+ years of hands-on field sales support, software consulting, pre-sales engineering or similar experience and 5+ years of managing a field technical organization. Exposure to enterprise solutions in the Information Security space (Identity Management, Vulnerability Management, DLP and GRC solutions) is highly desirable.
Familiarity/fluency with Enterprise Information Security solutions and experience with the installation/configuration/administration/deployment/troubleshooting of said solutions is highly desirable
Proven ability to successfully navigate and relate to varying levels of executive, functional and technical personnel at customer/prospect sites
Experience with Java Application Servers, Linux/Unix Operating Systems and Database Technologies
Familiarity/fluency with web services, scripting (Python, Perl), SQL, directory services, protocols and associated enterprise technology frameworks/concepts highly desirable
Previous work experience with a commercial software start-up
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience, MS in Computer Science or Information Systems is highly desirable
CISSP certification is highly desirable
Travel: Position will be based in the Boston office. The position requires regional travel ranging from 30 - 60%. On-site sales call trips often require one-to-two overnight stays.
