The Sales & Events Specialist is responsible for renewing contracts for existing customer base within the assigned territory. He/she should possess the technical & sales expertise required to successfully conduct all phases of the sales cycle. The Sales & Events Specialist must demonstrate all the behaviors associated with High Performance Sales Culture, specifically managing a pipeline of renewal opportunities through the appropriate fulfillment channels, while committing to and delivering results against monthly/quarterly forecasted targets. The Sales & Events Specialist must actively seek and develop new business opportunities from his/her existing installed client base in an effort to contract all client renewals and upsell potential. He/she will work alongside assigned Eastern Region Area Directors to maximize client relationships as well as with the East Regional Vice President on territory mapping and market strategy. The Sales & Events Specialist will occasionally execute and manage locally-assigned BidPal events onsite.
Achieve/exceed quota targets
Prepare renewal quotes/contracts based on client needs
Contact and follow-up with customers to ensure timely renewal and secure final close
Expand on current customer business through various means, including: upselling, multi-year agreements and increased event production
Generate weekly reports and forecasts for all in-progress and closed business
Respond to email or phone inquiries from BidPal customers regarding their contract questions and services agreement
Develop cohesive business relationships with BidPal Area Directors to work harmoniously within territories
Identify new business opportunities and consult with Area Directors and other client service specialists
Manage lead lists/renewal portals to maximize time, effort and sales
Work with other client-service specialists to better serve customers
Respond to renewal inquiries from Area Directors
Manage pipeline of quotes/orders
Develop innovative, new ways to reach renewable opportunities
Work hand in hand with the assigned East Region Area Directors to help drive sales
Be responsive to customers
Further develop and deepen client relationships
Attend external prospecting events, seminars/conferences and corporate trainings (Manager's approval)
Execute onsite BidPal events in assigned territory. Which includes leading the BidPal Team and client to ensure clients are maximizing their event revenue
Other duties as assigned
Education Requirements: BS/BA required, MBA desired
5 ? 10 years' work experience in Sales, General Management, and Events required
Experience in direct selling or marketing a product and/or service
Ability to manage employees and external event volunteers
Strong leadership skills
Exceptional relationship management skills
Exceptional communication skills ? including: written, interpersonal, and public speaking
Highly organized with the ability to meet multiple concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to travel
