Description The Sales Executive (SE) will work as a part of a dynamic, socially minded entrepreneurial team. This individual will play a critical role acting as the external ?face? of the organization, serving as the key contact on behalf of her/his regional culinary center and team. The position is multifaceted and fast paced, but is focused on relationship building and working closely with sites to strategically manage their relationship with Revolution Foods and ensure they are taking advantage of our full portfolio of options and opportunities. This position comes with substantial opportunities for career advancement, as we are a rapidly growing company building a team that will grow with us. Because we prepare and deliver school lunches every day, we work on an early schedule, sometimes beginning work at approximately 6:00 a.m. This person will work an average of 50 hours per week, often weekend and evening events.
Requirements
New and existing portfolio growth
Work under supervision of Director of Partnerships to generate new sales and accounts; manage and significantly grow these accounts throughout the year where possible.
Manage relationships with existing customers to implement and grow our healthy meal platform at that site, ensure customer satisfaction, and secure contract renewal.
Serve as a champion of Revolution Foods to obtain and pursue referrals in the broader community.
Advocate for customer needs as they arise and ensure excellent customer service for each site.
Cultivate and close new business opportunities in the region.
Identify and share key expansion opportunities with market leadership team to respond most appropriately.
Relationship management
Provide ongoing account stewardship to ensure a positive working relationship between the site and Revolution Foods.
Engage effectively with school and site administration, parents and parent organizations, as well as the students and young people.
Develop solid internal and external relationships to ensure that site needs are met, while being respectful to the internal operations of Revolution Foods.
Conduct regular site visits with schools, coordinate opportunities for engagement with the school, its leadership, personnel and young people.
Work with team members to support school and community outreach events to raise awareness, increase sales and participation and coordinate nutrition education.
Attend sales and marketing meetings, and other events serving as a key representative of Revolution Foods and presenting information.
Qualities and Qualifications
Demonstrated success in sales, business development and/or fundraising in an area you are passionate about.
Seeking candidates with 3-5 years of experience in sales and/or account management.
Demonstrated success in achieving revenue growth within an existing client portfolio.
Demonstrated success in managing a sales pipeline to an achieved revenue goal.
Engaging presence and a love of working with people and operating in a ?community facing? role; comfort in presenting to groups of people and communicating a strong vision.
Well-developed interpersonal skills and strong ability to build authentic relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to generate meaningful leads from networks, cold calling, and referrals.
Outstanding attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks/deadlines.
A ?big picture? thinker who can also manage small details accurately and brings solid analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
A passion for education, healthy eating, sustainability and young people.
Experience or a strong interest in working with area schools, particularly those serving low income communities.
Entrepreneurial minded, coupled with an energetic and positive spirit, flexibility, a sense of humor, and a willingness to jump into any role at a moment?s notice.
Solid computer skills, especially in using the Microsoft Word, Excel, SalesForce and Outlook; as well as comfort in quickly learning new programs.
Valid driver?s license is required.
