SAY Media's Sales Executive (Detroit) is a dynamic and results-oriented individual responsible for identifying, selling, and closing new business. You will have a sophisticated knowledge of online advertising and a broad understanding of media. You will have had proven sales track records of reaching and exceeding quota. You will have existing successful relationships with large advertisers (online or traditional) and you will have the ability to engage agency decision makers at all levels.We have a successful and growing team already in place, and we function as a fast-paced, highly flexible startup and your enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit will allow you to fit right in. We are looking for someone who knows how to seize the moment, knows when to ask the right questions and when to listen, takes initiative, and can dive into this opportunity with gusto. Requirements- Strong knowledge of and have extensive contacts in Detroit and the surrounding markets calling on major advertisers, including automotive brands.
- At least 5 years experience in the digital media space (this may include Agency work), and at least 3 years experience in digital media sales, calling on major brand advertisers.
- Successful track record working with Fortune 500 companies and agencies
- Superior skills in all facets of the sales cycle including prospecting, presenting, negotiating and closing sales
- The ability to sell based on value not price and a knack for consultative selling
- An understanding of the digital media landscape, as well as a solid grasp of technology and the Web
- Strong understanding of industry trends, technologies and pricing models
- Strong knowledge of ad campaign metrics and analysis
- Excellent understanding of agency dynamics and how they operate and campaign buying and planning
- Understanding of audience profiles, online ad targeting, and campaign optimization
- BA/BS degree required
