THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Axioma is seeking an experienced sales professional to target and acquire prospective clients. The position is based in Axioma's New York office and will be responsible for the Midwestern U.S. territory.
The responsibilities of the position include:
Drive ambitious sales growth and meet or exceed annual targets
Identify new sales opportunities and initiate and manage sales dialog with these contacts
Target and acquire new accounts through cold calling, prospecting, networking and securing appointments
Communicate Axioma?s value proposition to prospective clients
Solve customers? challenges by applying a combination of technology, business, interpersonal and professional experience
Negotiate and close sales contracts
Gather product feedback from customers and relay those needs to Product Management
Manage all sales communication with leads and prospects within your territory
Ensure timely delivery and installation of software or services utilizing the resources of Axioma
Record and track sales activities using Axioma?s CRM software
Regularly report to management on performance vs. sales objectives
The minimum qualifications required for the position are a proven track record of three-to-five years experience selling to portfolio managers and a deep understanding of the investment management process. Experience with multi asset class systems strongly preferred.
The candidate must be smart, energetic, and comfortable applying quantitative methods for analysis and decision-making purposes. The selected candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, strong active listening skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for helping the client/prospect solve their business problems.
Favorable consideration will be given to those candidates with an MBA, CFA or other relevant advanced certification. The ideal candidate will have experience selling portfolio management tools ? including portfolio optimization, risk analysis and performance attribution ? for both equity and fixed income portfolios.
He or she will understand the need to secure revenues for the Company in the short term, but also demonstrate customer-facing skills necessary to build long-term business relationships with clients. He or she will demonstrate an aptitude for leadership and have an entrepreneurial spirit.
