An excellent sales opportunity with a successful team in the Financial District in San Fransisco. You will be selling data solutions to help financial professionals including venture capitalists, fund managers etc make better decisions. Anyone with experience in Technical sales or a sales role requiring a solution selling or educational approach will be at a distinct advantage.

This is an exciting role for an ambitious candidate interested in developing a career in sales in financial services. Working as part of our small, but growing, Bay Area team you will be selling subscription services to Preqin's leading on-line information sources and data services. You will be building relationships with key decision makers and developing your knowledge of Finance, and in particular, of the Alternative Assets industry.
Responsibilities / day-to-day tasks include:
--Following up leads and carrying out direct sales calls and qualifying key decision makers to develop new business opportunities.
--Leading product demonstrations and training by telephone or via presenting at conferences.
--Where possible, providing feedback on client requirements to aid the development of new products/services.
--Ensuring the CRM system is up-to-date with opportunities and sales activities.
--Developing relationships with clients, addressing questions and responding to customer queries
--It is essential that you develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's product offerings, the market in which Preqin operates, industry trends and competitive offerings.
Sales Professionals need to work supportively within the sales teams and build rapport with clients and potential clients who are often leading figures in the financial industry. After a period of training, you will be expected to meet sales targets and will receive commission in addition to the basic salary.
Skills and Experience Required:
The Sales Executive role requires sales experience and aptitude. You will need the confidence to cold call and to build relationships with high-level executives. Ideally you will be able to demonstrate this with at least 1 year of prior sales experience. You must be able to quickly establish rapport with potential clients demonstrating the value of our products in a persuasive and professional manner. You need to have the resilience to overcome objections and find the right ways to reach the right individual in an organisation. You need the persistence to close a sale and meet targets.
An analytical thinker, you will be able to analyse buying patterns / marketing data to recommend sales strategies and to draw up cold calling plans. In addition, you need to have the interest and willingness to continue to develop knowledge of the banking and financial industry and keep up to date on Preqin's products, customers and market place.
A good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and familiarity with Client Relationship Management (CRM) tools are essential.
$45,000 - 60,000 annual base salary depending on experience+ Commission (uncapped) + Annual Bonus + Healthcare and dental (employee only)
