Are you an undergraduate student interested in building a career in sales? Are you seeking to learn from an established, successful team in the software/IT industry? As a sales intern, you will have the opportunity to work directly with Inside Sales Reps, Regional Sales Managers, and Sales Directors at Splunk to support their demand and lead generation activities (the first step in the selling cycle). You will spend your time contacting sales prospects (via email and phone) to set appointments, answer questions, and inform them about upcoming events in their area. You will gain exposure to how a successful software company generates demand and builds pipelines, and to the sales process that follows. This is a unique opportunity for a driven, passionate student to gain skills and experience that are essential to becoming a successful salesperson.
Requirements: I've already done that or have that!
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
- Prior sales, customer service, appointment setting, or telemarketing experience a plus
- Experience with Salesforce.com a plus
