Sales Manager, Wireless Broadband Products Solectek Corporation

We are looking for an individual with sales or business development experience in broadband wireless transmission products and networks, or experience selling related technology to security integrators and dealers. We prefer an individual with experience selling to WISPs, government, security, enterprise or carrier customers. Ideal candidate should have commercial and public safety wireless sales experience. Depending on candidates background, interests and evolving company needs, the Sales Manager may be assigned to one or more sectors, or to a geographic region. Location of position is San Diego and no relocation will be provided. This is a hands-on entry to mid-level sales position with base and commission incentives.
Proactively find and develop new accounts, coordinating with the CEO, VP of Corporate Development & Marketing, VP of Sales and Director of Sales.
Customer research (cultivate leads) and cold calling (phone, internet).
Develop forecasts and market projections.
Database management (CRM, Salesforce.com experience a plus).
Travel (minimal) to customer sites and tradeshows.
Stay abreast of publicly available information on technologies and competitors (WiMAX, Mesh, WiFi, 802.16d, 802.16e, VoIP, internet, Cisco, Alvarion, Airspan, Motorola Canopy, Redline, Aperto, Soma, Tranzeo, Axxcelera).
Perform other standard duties as required of the position.
Knowledge of broadband wireless products (radios) for point to point or multipoint applications or related network, security and data transmission equipment.
Minimum 4 years experience in related sales role.
Foreign language a plus.
Experience selling to WISPs, government, security, enterprise or carrier customers.
Willingness and ability to manage low level and mid level sales management tasks.
College degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Strong organization and communication skills.
Self-motivated and dependable.
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Strong writing and oral communication skills.
