BlogHer, the number-one community for women who blog, seeks a Sales Marketing Director. We are looking for an innovative self-starter to play a vital role in growing the revenue of the company.
Among other things, this position will be responsible for creating high quality sales materials and online marketing programs. This role is integral to the success of the Online Advertising Sales team. It requires an individual willing to accept the responsibility of ensuring success for BlogHer?s partners as well as each member of the BlogHer community.
The Sales Marketing Director primary responsibilities include:
Help create strong marketing ideas to meet client objectives
Develop compelling sales materials, including case studies, market overviews and product presentations
Help manage the creation of effective, innovative proposals and presentations
Clearly understand and communicate client marketing objectives to BlogHer team
Serve as a resource for sellers and planners about products, markets and marketing strategy
The ideal candidate will:
Understand both the art and the science of sales marketing
Have a track record of developing compelling, innovative sales solutions to meet client need
Excel at providing written and oral direction while managing internal projects.
Be able to handle multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
Have strong knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
Have an appreciation for blogging content produced on BlogHer.com across the BlogHer network of 3000+ blogs
Have a deep understanding of social media and participate actively with their social graph.
Have demonstrated ability to work with and speak the language of Sales, Sales Marketing, Product, Editorial, and Operations teams
Be inquisitive, innovative and interested in how things work.
Possess excellent organizational, communication and multi-tasking skills with an eye for detail

Translate ideas into compelling presentations
Be a self starter with a strong sense of urgency, responsibility and accountability
Have the ability to work with others in a demanding, fast-paced environment

Required experience:
5-7 years experience in online media industry in a marketing or sales marketing role
Strong Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, Excel, GoogleDocs skills

Minimum Level of Education Required:
BA/BS in marketing/advertising/communications field and/or equivalent experience
