THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Sales Operations Analyst is responsible for providing ongoing sales reporting and analysis to the World Wide Sales and Sales Operations Team.
In this role, the incumbent is expected to advise and make recommendations to management based upon data findings and personal experience.
Responsibilities encompass all aspects of sales reporting, forecasting, analytics and modeling, and presentations.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Responsible for designing and developing reports with the ability to target the audience and the messaging; providing the right level of information needed for management in a timely fashion
Develops and presents reports to managers on a regular basis; responsible for educating managers about key information and findings. Answer questions and address concerns
Develops and provides analysis on reports on bookings, pipeline and operational metrics; forecasts operating expenses including commissions; drive automation of reporting and dashboards
Work with Sales Operations Mgmt to define standards of performance and specific actions that drive sales activities at the territory level that are consistent with success criteria for the sales organization; track and report on these activities on a timely and consistent basis
Consolidate bookings forecast and metric reports & provide analysis for Sales Management
Prepare monthly sales operating expense forecast including complex commission forecasting
Design and deliver reporting to meet the requirements of Sales Management Develop comprehensive pipeline reporting tools
Assists in setup, maintenance, and modification of sales territories and individual sales compensation plans and provides comprehensive analysis of territory productivity and capacity
Assists in all facets of sales planning, inclusive of quota, headcount and sales plan and then report actual performance against plan on a regular and consistent basis
Provides recommendations, based on data analysis, in support of key business decision
Responsible for the continuous development and improvement of standard reporting tools to support the changing requirements of the business
Proactively identifies areas for improvement and develop recommendations for new processes
All other duties as assigned
Working independently, the Sales Operations Analyst resolves a range of diverse problems utilizing personal judgment and experience to develop solutions in a creative manner.
Interacts with employees at all levels of the organization and takes personal responsibility for meeting the needs of the customer while demonstrating an understanding of business objectives.
Authority to act within defined policies within the area of expertise/knowledge as directed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Bachelor?s degree in Finance, Economics, Management or related field.
Minimum 8+ years related experience in Sales Operations, Business Analysis or a Financial Analyst role
Superior analytical skills; high level attention to detail with strong business acumen
Demonstrated organizational savvy with the ability to predict impacts, avoid derailments and pursue actions that are likely to succeed
Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills. Must have the professional polish and poise to communicate at a level appropriate to the audience (customers, staff, peers and senior management)
Ability to see the big picture and make quick correlations between data sets
Experience with business process improvement and working with others to implement change
Excellent technical skills including but not limited to MS Excel and PowerPoint
Understanding of sales cycles, sales models, sales compensation plan and extensive use of CRM applications, specifically salesforce.com preferred
Experience using QlikView (BI tool) a plus
Enterprise software sales experience highly preferred
