As a Sales Operations Department Trainer, you will increase sales and profitability through internal and external product training. Internally, you will be responsible for regular and ad-hoc product and technical training of sales, channel marketing, sales operations, and other departments interested in learning about the features and competitive benefits of Belkin/Linksys branded products. Externally, you must ensure that Belkin product line(s) is/are recognized as the best-in-class to all channel partners, including retailers, ecommerce, value added resellers, distributors and end users in the industry. You will create all product training material with assistance from global product management, regional product management, global marketing, channel marketing, and other department to ensure Belkin/Linksys products are represented with value, quality, selection, innovation, features, reliability and ease of use. The position includes assisting sales personnel in selling product into target markets and accounts as well as assisting channel partners with increasing sell through to end consumers.
How you?ll do it
Conduct regular new product introduction (NPI) trainings with internal employees
Be available to represent Belkin/Linksys at channel events and provide audience with insightful product information, competitive benefits, and feature demonstrations to help increase product knowledge
Develop specialized channel training materials for top accounts. May include online training modules, assistance with website portals, or app-based product matrices and/or content
Interface with sales and product management personnel to ensure that required training/marketing communication materials are designed and produced according to schedule.
Understand the channels in which Belkin sells its products through (Retail, ecommerce, distribution, VARs, dealers, etc.). Know where our products sell through and what our top accounts are for assigned product line.
Specialist should strive to attain an unwavering knowledge of all product lines and the ability to assume all of the above responsibilities.
Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally, up to 75% of the time during peak seasons.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Understand and follow company rules and regulations.
Fulfill responsibilities under OHSAS 18001, understand and fully support OHSAS 18001 system.
Fulfill responsibilities under ISO 9001, understand and fully support ISO system.
Perform all other duties as assigned and required.
What you?ll need
Four-year degree preferred. Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration or Marketing
Two to Four years? experience in similar role
Full Microsoft Suite of Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with Oracle ERP system preferred
Knowledge of modern office methods, procedures and techniques
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proper grammar and spelling
Maintain an excellent attendance record
Intermediate to advanced math skills
What you?ve done
Assist with trade show execution, from project managing the presence of the brand and product line to working the event floor and speaking directly to industry professionals, customers, and end consumers.
Provide sales training information and classes as they relate to product, competitors, and the marketplace.
Write training materials, or work with technical writers and graphic designers, to ensure that materials for new or existing products are as effective as possible.p>
