Sales Operations/Field Marketing Representative TransZap
Reports to: Vice President Sales and Account Management
Overview: The Sales Operations/Field Marketing Representative manages support functions essential to sales productivity while also overseeing the planning and executing of marketing campaigns for the primary purpose of generating new prospects and improving client retention. This position has cross-functional roles that will span field marketing to sales operations. This will allow for effective reporting and marketing to sales conversion analysis. Sales operations functions include planning, reporting, quota and key metric setting and management, sales process optimization, sales program implementation, and management of sales activity and data processes in salesforce.com.
Primary Responsibilities - Field Marketing:
Devise marketing campaigns with the goal of increasing product awareness and increasing sales and profits.
Plan, organize, and execute marketing and sales programs.
Act as the point persons for outside, inside and partner sales teams.
Track market and company sales performance.
Work closely with marketing teams to create programs.
Generate leads and drive sales.
Gather and report customer intelligence to sales teams.
Develop marketing plans.
Support all company initiatives, give actionable feedback, share best practices and serve as advocate and information source for company.
Create programs that drive brand loyalty.
Manage field marketing budgets.
Attend trade shows and events to market product.
Develop effective account conversion strategies to accelerate adoption.
Determine product/service value delivered throughout customer operations and effectively communicate value to customers to promote new applications and sales.
Improve forecast performance of business through thorough understanding of underlying demand assumptions.
Keep abreast of industry trends, competition, and new opportunities.
Develop understanding of product line and value chain.
Primary Responsibilities - Sales Operations:
Coordinate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and budgeting processes used within the sales organization through performance metrics and dashboards.
Prepare and deliver Sales Operations related presentations to the Sales Organization and the Executive team.
Analyze sales data and generate weekly forecast and metric reports for Sales Management.
Maintain comprehensive pipeline reporting tools tracking opportunities from lead generation to revenue realization, account development and retention.
Assist in all facets of sales planning, inclusive of regular updates to whitespace, quotas, headcount, and sales plan. Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization?s planning efforts. As needed, coordinates planning activities with other functions and stakeholders.
Supports the equitable assignment of sales quotas and ensures quotas are optimally allocated.
Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement. Works closely with VP Sales to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement. Assists sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies. Facilitates an organization of continuous process improvement.
Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization. Recommend revisions to existing reports, or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
Implements/Maintains enabling technologies, including Salesforce and InsightSquared and ensuring sales teams are using effectively. Monitors the assigned sales organization?s compliance with required standards for maintaining Salesforce data. Works with sales management to optimize the effectiveness of Oildex?s technology investments.
Provide input to senior leadership in the development and administration of sales incentive compensation programs.
Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company initiatives.
Builds peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key management personnel.
Assist Finance in the preparation of monthly sales commission reports and Quarterly attainment bonuses for the sales team that provides explanations of compensation.
Education and Experience Requirements:
B.S. or Master?s Degree
5-10 years of demonstrated success in Operations, Marketing or Finance role
Strong analytic and quantitative skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong decision making and problem solving capabilities
Cross organizational teamwork and collaboration
Salesforce.com experience preferred
Sales or Marketing experience preferred
Experience in software marketplace preferred
