Sales Operations Manager Role Description
Summary
At Epocrates, the Sales Operations Manager is the professional who manages the quote to book process. Partnering with sales, finance, legal, and client services, the Sales Operations Manager develops customer ready proposals, statements of work, contracts, and quotations. He/she then shepherds those deliverables through the cycle of development, internal approval, customer acceptance, and booking. Additionally, he/she will participate on project teams to design and implement a best in class sales operations infrastructure at Epocrates. The Sales Operations Manager is integral to enabling the sales force to manage offers, close opportunities, and build long term relationships with customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Work with the sales team to determine customer requirements
-Develop proposals, quotations, statements of work, and contracts per product specifications
-Partner with sales, finance, legal, and client services for approvals and compliance
-Prepare agreements for delivery to customers
-Enter data, documents, and orders into Salesforce.com
-Partner with finance for quarter close activities such as reconciliations and audits
-Drive user adoption of tools and processes
-Integrate new products and services into the sales operations infrastructure
-Design procedures and policies to continually improve quality of deliverables, efficiency of processes, and scalability of operation
Experience and Specifications
-Salesforce.com experience
-Daily work with tools such as MS Word and MS Excel
-Knowledge of the quote to collect cycle
-Understanding of B2B and B2C business models
-Impeccable skills in written English
-Excellent verbal communication
-Literacy of financial terminology
-Literacy of business law terminology
-Structured project/process management
-Prior role in software, internet, pharma, and/or media industry
-Experience in customer facing role, preferably outside sales

Education and Qualifications
-BA or BS in quantitative business or technology field
-5 â€" 10 years experience in midlevel individual contributor role
