The FireEye, Inc., Sales Operations Manager will work closely with the Sales organization and become a liaison for other departments including Finance, Legal and Marketing. The job covers a wide range of areas including, but not limited to, forecasting, reporting, compensation, budgets, document management and training. The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for executing and strengthening internal controls and business practices to ensure compliance and support of FireEye?s revenue and corporate objectives. The position reports to the Vice President of Sales and dotted line to the Director of Sales Operations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Work closely with Finance to develop, track and update sales performance metrics on a scheduled basis.
Work with Sales and Finance to develop budgets, policies and procedures to track expenses and stay within budget.
Partner with Finance and Sales on compensation plan development and adjustments. Institute procedures to reduce commission issues and streamline the monthly commission review process including commission accruals.
Assist the VP of Sales and Regional Sales Directors with hiring stats and logistics.
Coordinate completion of Sales driven documents including RFPs and RFQs. Develop a system/repository for RFPs and RFQs that can be leveraged.
Attend QBRs as needed/requested and become the voice of Sales with internal organizations. Work with Sales Leadership to standardize the QBR process.
Develop Sales and board slides as needed.
Work with Sales to increase forecast accuracy and enhance the Salesforce forecast process.
Liaison with internal departments to obtain answers to sales questions/issues related to, but not limited to, commissions, contracts and hiring plans.
Liaison with Finance and Sales for deal desk type questions (revenue recognition, credit, etc.)
Assist with training and socialization of Sales policies and procedures.
Assist with KPI metrics and ad hoc reporting as needed.
Maintain organization and territory charts.
Work with Marketing to close the link between Marketing and Sales.
Partner with other members of the Sales Operations organization to understand the order and fulfillment processes.
Obtain a deep understanding of the FireEye channel program.
Set the right expectations and hold people accountable.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
7+ years of experience supporting a fast paced team or working within a sales team/organization
Communicate effectively, in both oral and written form, with all levels within FireEye, Inc.
Experience dealing with customer issues, challenges, complaints, and having the savvy to escalate when appropriate
Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to convert analytical findings to actionable steps
Effective prioritization, organization and multi-tasking skills
Salesforce knowledge a must
Oracle knowledge a plus
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Visio
