NewsGator is looking for a Sales Operations Manager to join our high-performance sales team. In this role you will have the opportunity to manage processes essential to sales force productivity and help take our Sales team to the next level. This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales and works very closely with the Global Marketing team.
Looking for experienced candidate who have excellent knowledge of Sales and in-depth experience working within Sales Operations. Past responsibilities should include having been responsible for reporting, sales process optimization, sales program implementation, and sales administration. Qualified individuals must have thorough experience developing and implementing processes, tools, metrics, initiatives, and infrastructure that will support and improve the operations of the Sales function.
Coordinates sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting process used within the organization. Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and timeliness of the planning effort. Coordinates planning activities with other functions and stakeholders within the organization.
Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement. Assists Management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies. Facilitates an organization of continuous process improvement.
Reporting and performance tracking for all aspects of the sales department across a variety of key performance metrics on a monthly basis.
Assisting in the development of the sales plan and tracking performance against the plan. The sales plan is developed annually and measurement against the plan is conducted regularly.
Perform regular analysis on the customer base to identify and measure growth.
Development and administration of commission plans. Commission plans are evaluated developed annually to ensure that they are in keeping with the goals of the company. New plans are issued as new staff is hired over the course of the year.
Managing the company?s CRM (salesforce.com) and other internal operational systems utilized by the sales department.
Support of marketing team to improve understanding of internal databases and help deliver coordinated reports that look at the entire process from marketing generated lead to closed business.
Desired Skills & Experience
In-depth knowledge of sales and marketing
6+ years experience within Sales Operations, with strong experience in planning and forecasting
1-2 years of direct sales experience and/or direct marketing experience
Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage projects
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong analytical, Power Point and Excel skills
Experience working with SalesForce CRM a must
Experience working with Marketo Marketing Automation is a plus
A track record of success and accomplishments within sales and marketing operations
