SecondMarket is seeking a dynamic individual to join the private company market team in a sales operations capacity. As Sales Operations Manager, you will be involved in helping build sales infrastructure and sales operations support, as well as assisting in sales strategy development.
Responsibilities
Sales Infrastructure Development
CRM Salesforce.com
Gather requirements from SecondMarket corporate sales teams and implement structural changes to Salesforce to support our sales processes
Develop sales support collateral to ensure a consistent and efficient sales process
Help set and enforce internal procedures and best practices that support a consistent and efficient sales process
Serve as a point of contact between our San Francisco and New York City sales groups
Develop and implement sales automation and quality assurance strategies
Sales Operations
Develop forecasting tools for use by sales management and sales teams
Develop analytics and modeling tools for sales teams
Assist sales teams in complying with reporting duties
Help to establish metrics and evolve them to encourage specific sales behaviors
Assist with compensation plan development, benchmarking, and KPI implementation
Sales Strategy
Partner with the sales teams and management to improve sales planning and strategy
Assist sales management with evaluating the sales team growth plan and strategy
Requirements
5+ years experience in sales operations
Deep understanding of enterprise software and SaaS business models
Bachelors degree
Interest in disrupting and changing the status quo as it relates to financial markets and capital formation
Strong excel skills
Interest in working in an entrepreneurial environment
Strong CRM skills, especially with salesforce.com
Superior analytical skills
Sound business judgment
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Additional Consideration of Interest
Experience working with or within startups
Experience working within a sales environment that counted startup companies as a major customer segment
Experience in financial sales
MBA degree
Understanding of transactional business models
