Overview:
The Sales Operations Specialist will work closely with the Sales management and will own the definition and management of our sales related business systems, processes and data. You will be responsible for directing information and tools that maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales team. The Sales Operations Specialist will direct the sales department usage of SFDC (Salesforce.com), including oversight and maintenance of sales representative data reporting and clean-up with a focus on data integrity and quality. Additionally, this role will assist with sales support/training (including owning systems and process training), project coordination, creating and maintaining documentation, accommodating ad-hoc user requests and developing management dashboard reporting. This role includes departmental coordination between Sales and related functional groups (legal, marketing, finance, services), project management and general activities to assist Sales management and teams.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, detail, process and customer service-oriented individual focused on meeting the needs of a growing and dynamic sales organization by driving efficiencies and improvements. This position demands a high-level understanding of processes and procedures that drive a successful sales team combined with solid written and verbal communication skills.
Principal Responsibilities:
Sales Operations
Responsible for defining, implementing and enforcing processes and tools that will maintain integrity and accuracy of sales-related Salesforce.com data.
Own direct user support for sales department on SFDC (and other critical tools and applications) that support and enable the sales force. This will include telephone and email response to user questions. Support will include both technical use as well as business process questions.
Manage and maintain reporting tools and handle ad-hoc reporting requests to analyze and monitor sales performance at various levels. Track on-going sales trends and then perform sales analysis. Communicate meaningful insights to sales management, sales reps and other appropriate parties.
Select and manage tool(s) that allow sales management to accurately forecast bookings and revenue projections.
Define and deliver systems and process training for new sales hires; provide on-going training of SFDC usability and efficiency as needed. Monitor and enforce SFDC usage.
Provide cross-functional support and assists Sales management on projects as needed.
Liaison between sales and other departments; ensure the integrity of sales information available through various system and reporting structures.
Implementation and documentation of sales processes within SFDC.
Sales department SFDC ?Power User?. This role will be the SFDC Voice of the sales team for changes, new features, processes, etc.
Manage information designated to assist and enable sales engagements.
Create and maintain sales information repositories
Provide general sales notices from senior vice president of sales
Track and communicate candidates qualified for annual sales incentive trip
Own and manage company operational and contractual relationship with local hospitality facilities. Ensure efficient and accurate structure and terms, communicate applicable procedures, facilitate timely issue resolution. Drive meeting logistics for sales and specified company meetings, including logistical needs, clear communications, manage to meeting budgets.
Business Development Operations
Responsible for the business development data within SFDC, page layouts, partner contracts, etc.
Analyze and report business development data via regularly scheduled reports you?ve defined.
Appropriately incorporate business development processes and data into SFDC. Document business development processes based upon verticals or partner-specific needs including lead and referral registrations as well as partner contracts.
Drive response to BD-led RFXs.
Work with Marketing to ensure successful launching of partnerships or other marketing campaigns for partners.
Manage business development?s NextLevel partner sponsorship commitments.
Oversee Business Development general communication
Create and maintain business development Confluence site
Maintain accurate and compelling partner information on corporate website
Position Requirements:
This position works in a team-oriented, cross-departmental environment. The candidate must build and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally.
Requires a solid understanding of standard business practices related to Sales Operations processes and systems (sales cycle, Salesforce.com, reporting, forecasting, territory management and sales quotas).
Microsoft Office experience with strong expertise in Excel, including advanced features such as pivot tables. Analytical mindset and reporting tools knowledge ideal.
Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred; marketing or business focus preferred.
5+ years similar work experience with demonstrated success.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Careful attention to details.
Ability to multi-task and set priorities without significant management oversight.
Ability to contribute both as a team member and individual contributor.
