Description:Aspen Aerogels, Inc. is a rapidly growing company founded in 2001 to capitalize on proprietary and patented advances in aerogel technology. Aspen has developed a proprietary, easy-to-use blanket form of aerogels with broad application to a variety of markets including Oil & Gas, Building & Construction, Outdoor Gear & Apparel, Solar Thermal, Appliances and Transportation. With facilities in Northborough, MA and East Providence, RI, Aspen has approximately 200 employees.
The Sales Operations Specialist will be responsible for supporting Aspen Aerogels? sales team to successfully win new business and support existing customers. The mission for the Sales Operations Specialist will be to establish Aspen?s sales team as the premier professional selling organization in the insulation industry. The Sales Operations Specialist is a key member of the Aspen?s sales team and critical to delivering Aspen?s value proposition.
Duties:?Support sales team with comprehensive proposal generation for our customers; providing creative input to proposal strategy and tactics
?Qualify and allocate leads (inbound and outbound calls) to Aspen sales team and channel partners
?Maintains and updates Salesforce.com CRM systems with latest information provided by outside sales and customers
?Participate in management meetings and take responsibility for sales improvement initiatives and other assigned action items
?Coordinate and manage customer meetings and training programs
?Partner with application engineering, manufacturing, legal and finance, and marketing teams to put together technical and commercial aspects of customer proposals for Aspen?s subsea pipeline product lines
?Lead project management for awarded projects
?Provides management with accurate and reliable sales reports regarding sales pipeline
?Provide general commercial and technical support to customers.
?Manages and tracks customer pricing proposals
?General sales support for outside sales, including ordering samples, coordinating customer meetings and training, and various report generation from SFDC
?Participates in customer meetings and presentations with sales team
?Some travel may be required (up to 20%)
Qualifications:?Bachelor?s degree or Master?s degree in business, finance, engineering, or other relevant area
?1 to 3 years of sales, marketing, finance, or engineering work experience preferred
?Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools, especially Excel, Powerpoint and Word
?Strong mathematical and analytical skills
?Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate ideas clearly both with the written and spoken word
?Very strong written and oral skills
?Excellent attention to detail
?Ability to handle multiple tasks at once under stringent deadlines
