This Position is responsible for creating quotes and service orders for Voice, Data, MPLS, and Managed Services products for MegaPath business customers in response to inbound email or phone requests from Sales Reps, Partner Channel Managers and Channel Partners.
Understand and maintain proficiency in MegaPath?s product set.
Accept quote requirements from Sales and Partners for accurately quoting products and services, including T1, DSL, Ethernet, VOIP, MPLS, Managed Services and more, to potential customers.
Document initial and ongoing contacts as required in Salesforce.com.
Use Salesforce.com to track quotes from initial inquiry to pipeline.
Quickly learn and adapt to new products, services and the systems required to support them.
Perform user acceptance testing, troubleshoot, report bugs, recommend improvements and improvise workarounds in the MegaPath Quote Tool.
Use MS Excel to format data and produce presentable reports for sales executives.
Develop new and creative ways to capitalize on marketing efforts.
Uphold the highest levels of integrity and customer service when communicating internally and externally.
Maintain internal service level agreements as established and recommend solutions when systems issues prevent this.
Adhere to sales guidelines as communicated.
Carry out other responsibilities as assigned.
Ability to work independently and effectively organize, prioritize and consistently deliver tasks on time and mistake free.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and use of MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint as a means of presenting information.
Bachelor?s degree or related work experience preferred.
Ability to effectively interface with all levels and departments within the company.
At least 1- 3 years working in sales, technical service or operational support organization, or other relevant industry experience, preferably with computer or telecommunications technology.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Enjoy wearing many hats, have a decent sense of humor and be able to get along with a wide range of personalities.
High volume, transactional quoting requires attention to detail, independent thinking, and good time management.
Balance a friendly customer service orientation with firm boundary setting, when unrealistic requests are received.
Familiar with telecom, and computer networking concepts such as, IP addresses, sub-netting, routers, VPNs, and firewalls.
Creatively think and problem solve in a time sensitive environment.
Effectively utilize Windows 7, Excel 2010, Outlook 2010, Word, PowerPoint, Salesforce.com.
Experience with MegaPath Quote Tool, quote portals for XO, Level 3, Comcast and other vendors is a bonus.
Frequent use of telephone with or without head set
Constant use of computer including two monitors, keyboard and mouse
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
General office environment; cubicle; fast paced; can be noisy.
