Sales Representative- Middle East
The role of the Sales Representative is to become a product expert and interface with customers and executives in order to demonstrate and sell the product. The Sales Representative will learn the technical details of our solutions and will translate their functions into features and benefits that matter to our customers and end users. This includes the lifecycle of identifying new opportunities, establishing need, delivering presentations and closing the sale with the customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and qualify prospective customers and penetrate targeted prospects in order to achieve/exceed quotas.
Build consistent new revenue pipeline.
Articulate, define and execute creative strategies to grow the DSC business and reach new markets.
Stay current with industry/sector trends.
Implement a sales plan in conjunction with DSC?s selling methodology.
Drive sales and program activities to successful completion by integrating customers' needs.
Develops strategic business relationships with key decision makers including executive management. Builds relationships while positioning company for future prospects.
Become a systems expert on all DSC products and software tools.
Become an expert in communicating the DSC corporate vision, background, product features and benefits and product roadmaps to high level customers and executives.
Regularly interface with Product Management & Engineering.
Fluent in English and at least one of the following languages; French, Arabic, Spanish or German.
Ability to develop new prospects and interact with international customers to increase sales of DSC?s products and/or services.
Familiar with international variances in cultural and legal issues as pertaining to sales.
Computer skills: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Advanced understanding of the effectiveness of different communication materials (e.g., proposals, papers, letters, business performance evaluations, reports, web sites, presentations, speeches).
Advanced ability to select the appropriate communication tools based on the analysis of disparate types of information for the creation of the overall communication strategy.
Advanced ability to construct and present a proposal that effectively articulates the company position. Ability to apply advanced understanding of text and graphics techniques for draft proposal preparation.
Experience working in a fast paced, constantly expanding and changing environment.
Possess valid and current driver?s license
Technical bachelor's degree and 8 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Individual is expected to travel regularly, both domestically and internationally with little notice at times.
3-5 years related sales/engineering experience with surveillance/security products.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, electrical schematics, fabrication and assembly drawings.
Regional and cultural experience in the Middle East.
Industry knowledge, preferably in the high-tech and biometric fields
Ability to use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, etc.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and use of computer monitor screens.
Ability to reach within hands and arms length, climb or balance, reach overhead, and crouch.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Ability to operate vehicle/automobile for company errands.
This position requires an individual who is flexible and capable of dealing with sudden changes (e.g. flight delays, clients schedule, etc.).
This position requires the individual to carry a company provided cell phone.
Individual?s primary workstation is located in an office area with frequent travel to customer sites.
