Summary: The Sales Support Specialist will work with purchasing departments to implement mutually beneficial agreements and evaluate 3rd party purchasing options to increase sales.
Work cross departmentally with IT and eCommerce to manage Abcam?s product listing on eProcurement sites like Sciquest, Ariba, Science Warehouse, etc.
Effectively address requests from purchasing agents and find opportunities to drive sales at institutions in the America?s
Evaluate opportunities to increase sales through 3rd party purchasing companies like Fisher, VWR
Research industry trends in purchasing and work with eCommerce to make strategic recommendations
Other duties as required
Two years of successful sales or marketing experience
Experience in a lab setting or biotech
Experience with Sciquest, Ariba, VWR, Fisher a plus
Ability to manage multiple projects under time constraints
Must demonstrate attention to detail and follow-through
Possess strong communication skills
BA/BS in Marketing/Sales/Life Sciences
