Quanterix is looking to hire a results-driven team player to launch its Simoa HD-1 Analyzer into the life science research market. This role will be responsible for the West Coast region of the US across all research-use-only segments (pharma/biopharma, academia,government, and CROs). The ideal candidate will come with experience and established relationships in the target markets. He or she will be responsible for developing a strong pipeline ahead of a mid-2013 launch and then executing against ambitious launch revenue targets and beyond. This role requires familiarity with current immunoassay platforms and must be able to convincingly articulate the benefits of the Simoa technology. This role will initially involve a strong component of team-based market/business development and technology evangelization. Close collaboration with marketing, applications, and all internal departments expected.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum of BS or BA from accredited institution with major in biology, chemistry, or related fields
10+ years sales experience in life science research tools and/or analytical instrumentation
Strong sales track record
Experience selling immunoassay instrumentation strongly preferred
Experience selling novel, ground-breaking technologies preferable
Conviction in the promise and value of Simoa
Team spirit, positive attitude, strong work ethic, and sense of humor required
