As a Sales Trainer you will be responsible for effectively conducting sales training and coaching for our sales team, with an emphasis on our inside sales team. MegaPath Inside Sales works with both inbound and outbound sales calls. You will work closely with both sales and product management to ensure that the training provided supports goals and objectives of the Sales Management and is relevant to the product mix MegaPath offers. The training will be both live and on-line and will be delivered on a regular basis to our entire inside sales team in all of their locations. Training must be timely, interactive and focused on driving results. Some content development and modification is expected as sales is a dynamic process and telecommunications is an evolving product set. Training needs to be flexible to match the constantly changing needs of the sales team, dynamic to ensure engagement and compelling to maximize adoption of the processes and techniques presented.
We are looking for a seasoned and successful individual with experience in inside sales, both inbound and outbound calls. Telecommunications knowledge and training experience are both significant advantages. This person will be self-directed and self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency. They will have the ability to work both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.
Skills and Abilities
Sales Skills. Credibility comes from having ?walked the walk?.
Highly interactive. This is not a lecture series; this is ?hands on? training. Understanding that training is more than just reading a PowerPoint deck is critical. The ability to solidify concepts through managed discussions, role play, analogies and scenarios are necessary skills.
Facilitation skills. Have the ability to manage a group, regardless of the size or people involved. Balance the unpredictable nature of an open discussion with the defined and specific objectives of a given training module.
Time management. Deliver the expected content in the allotted time. Prepare and deliver new content in a timely manner.
High energy. An engaging trainer has enthusiasm for the product and a desire for the participants to learn from the experience. This is especially critical for on-line training sessions.
PowerPoint, Live Meeting. Both of these presentation tools are widely used in our training programs.
5 or more years in a commissionable, quota focused, inside sales position.
5 or more years training experience.
Telecom experience strongly preferred.
