General Purpose
The Salesforce.com Administrator will work with the Business Systems Analyst to build and improve a system that facilitates business processes for Verimatrix. This position will be responsible for understanding and implementing any Salesforce application changes needed to maximize process performance. The Salesforce.com administrator will support system issues and feature requests. A successful candidate presents a strong interest in building, administrating and perfecting automated processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Build and maintain the Salesforce.com configuration ?emphasis on user roles, security, database content and structure, and process logic
Master knowledge of business processes to derive efficiency improvements and automation possibilities
Utilize previous experience to identify system or data deficiencies and recommend/implement effective solutions
Document requirements and specifications for system enhancements and consult with Information Systems team to deduce proper solutions and allocation of team resources
Maintain high-level familiarity with other software applications/systems to make recommendations for integration points with Salesforce
Collaborate across departments to collect requirements, research and implement solutions, collect feedback, and iterate
Ensure data quality through creation of validations, naming conventions and structured processes
Create and maintain training materials and all documentation to stimulate user adoption and best practices
Assist users with report/dashboard customization ? including trend, summary and usage reports
Required Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in Salesforce development and/or administration
Expertise and interest in building out a Salesforce system ?specifically working with, but not limited to: custom objects, cross-object relationships, security configurations, layout design, customer portal implementation, mass data transfers, and workflow/formula/validation logic
Self-directed and a strong desire to take the initiative on a project through completion
Strong understanding of system development best practices to create and maintain a Salesforce configuration based on data integrity and stake-holder satisfaction
Excellent analytical, business process development and problem solving skills
Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, decompose high-level information into details, and abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding
Must be flexible and willing to undertake a variety of challenging tasks and projects
Knowledge of relational databases, ERP systems and/or user interface specifications is preferred
Experience with APEX/Force.com, Visual Force, and/or any other programming languages a plus
Salesforce.com certification a plus
Education
Bachelor?s degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, IT Project Management, or related field
