Most sales start at noon ET and last only 36 hours, making Gilt.com an addictive destination for aspirational shoppers from coast to coast.The Sample Coordinator is responsible for the inventory, shipping tracking, and receiving of sample merchandise. The successful candidate will partner with the onsite operations team as well as the sales operations team and merchant teams located in NYC. This person will also track merchandise movement within the Gilt distribution center ensuring proper ship dates for scheduled photo-shoots. The Sample Coordinator must maintain full control of samples coming in and out of the distribution center and shall enforce policies and procedures as needed.
This position is based in our Louisville Distribution Center.
Responsibilities:
Communicate, coordinate, and quality check photo shoot samples within the distribution center, prior to shipment to photo shoot (located in Brooklyn, NY)
Notify the Merchandising/Inventory Control/Receiving teams of any discrepancies found of photo studio sample
Provide internal and external feedback of any discrepancies found during quality check to appropriate teams
Track internal and external movement of samples
Enforce processes and systems procedures
Qualifications:
? Basic knowledge of warehouse operations
? Basic knowledge of inventory systems
? Data entry experience requested, but not required
? Professional phone skills and written/verbal communication skills
? Effective problem solving, organizational and prioritization skills
? Multi-tasking, accurate, and detail-oriented
? Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel
? Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience
