THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Insight Imaging partnered with Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) in 2012 to create one of the nation?s largest radiology providers for fixed site and mobile diagnostic imaging and interventional services. Together we have 116 retail imaging centers, 128 mobile units and operate in more than thirty states. Our organization served nearly a million patients in 2013, offering a wide range of screening, diagnostic and interventional procedures that complement each community?s needs, in collaboration with radiologists, healthcare providers, hospitals and health systems.
We are currently seeking a full-time, Scheduling Specialist at our Fountains center in Glendale, AZ.
Provides services to patients and referring professionals by answering phones and scheduling appointments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Creates a positive experience for every customer, every day by believing in and practicing the CDI Experience
? Answers phones and handles calls in a cheerful and timely manner
? Schedules patient examinations according to existing company policy. Daily responsibility for calling and scheduling as many patients for whom CDI currently has orders
? Pre-certifies all exams with patient?s insurance company as required
? Uses knowledge of insurance carriers (example Medicare) and procedures that require waivers to obtain authorization if needed prior to appointment.
? Communicates to technologists any scheduling changes in order to ensure highest patient satisfaction
? Maintains an up-to-date and accurate database on all current and potential referring physicians
? Obtains and enters new referring physician information in computer system data base (passing along to Marketing for follow up) and marks the request form with ?NEW REFERRAL? for CDI physician follow up
? Fields 1-800 number calls and routes to appropriate department or associate (St. Louis Park only)
? Understands how and when to roll phones on and off answering service
? Alerts other clinics of phone problems that are passed along to your clinic
? Handles overflow calls for other centers within market to ensure uninterrupted exam scheduling for referring offices
? Verify insurance for same day add-ons
? Arranges transportation and hotel accommodations for patients when appropriate
? Maintains positive interactions at all times with patients, referring offices and CDI staff
? Provides back up coverage for front office staff as requested by supervisor (i.e., rest breaks, vacations and sick leave)

? Ability to resolve basic service recovery issues and understand when to escalate to next level
? Skill in organizing and prioritizing of work, and following assignments through to completion
? Skill in written and verbal communication
? Skill with data analysis and figure aptitude with a high level of accuracy
? Knowledge of basic level computer skills
? Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols
? Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
? Minimum ? high school graduate
? Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
? 1-2 year customer service experience preferred
? Medical terminology and previous clinical business office experience preferred
? Ability to type 50 wpm
? Must be able to handle multi-level phone system with a high volume of calls at one time
