In this position, you will provide technical expertise and support to development, quality control, new business development, manufacturing, and any other department requiring technical support. Serve as technical resource for process development, quality control and manufacturing.
Major involvement in the design, execution, and analysis of experiments. Interpret results and draw scientific conclusions.
Communicate results through appropriate documentation, statistical analysis and trending. Present data to audiences within and outside the company.
Perform routine and non-routine sample analysis.
Write development reports and test method qualification/validation documentation, and assist in the writing of regulatory submissions.
Identify, analyze, and manage new products or projects within Technical Development.
Train, develop, and in some situations supervise other members of the laboratory.
BS/BA in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or related science with 10+ years of appropriate industry experience.
Experience as an Analytical chemist in an FDA-regulated industry.
Experience with biopolymers (preferred).
Experience in experimental design and critical analysis of data (statistical software experience preferred).
In-depth analytical method development experience with Chromatography (SEC and/or RP-HPLC, GC).
Experience with analytical method validation according to USP and ICH Guidelines.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
Proven ability to lead interdisciplinary problem-solving and technology transfer teams.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proven self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects and effectively organize and prioritize workload.
