Catabasis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is dedicated to the discovery and development of innovative, effective and safe medicines to treat inflammatory and metabolic diseases. We are assembling a team of highly motivated and experienced professionals who are committed to improving the lives of patients and building a world class biotechnology company.We are currently looking for a highly motivated, energetic, and relentlessly resourceful individual to join our team as a Research Scientist to develop analytical methods and strategies to support the pre-clinical and clinical development of our drug candidates. Responsibilities will include the development of robust analytical methods (HPLC, GC) to be used to support in-house and outsourced development activities. In addition, this person will oversee and coordinate both development and GMP stability studies.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences or closely related field and 2+ years of industry experience in the development of clinical formulations. Alternatively, the candidate should have a BS/MS with 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical development. In addition to a strong analytical development background the candidate should be well versed in drug substance and drug product transfer and scale-up. Familiarity with the development and characterization of lipid based products is desirable.
The ability to thrive in and develop a culture with a sense of urgency in a biotechnology and start up environment is essential. In addition, the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills (written and oral), excellent leadership skills, and a strong desire to contribute broadly.
