JOB DESCRIPTION
This position offers challenging, individual growth opportunities and continuous variety for a highly motivated individual. In this role you will:
Work in a hands-on, dynamic laboratory environment engaged in design, development and execution of bio-analytical assays for novel nanoparticulated antigen and nucleic acid delivery product candidates
Responsible for assay optimization by applying scientific methods for data interpretation and analysis for determining the active components in manufactured nanoparticles and microparticles
Perform and lead laboratory experimentation using general molecular and cell biology techniques such as protein and nucleic acid biochemistry, tissue culture, microscopy, spectroscopy, gel electrophoresis, ELISA
Develop bio-analytical methods for proteins, antibodies, peptides, and small molecules
Directly responsible for superior technical execution, both through direct experimentation and through supervision of junior technical personnel
May lead cross-functional team members to generate value-creating results
Mentor junior employees in scientific methodology
May be responsible for independent internal/external communication
QUALIFICATIONS
PhD (0-2 years) or MS with 3+ years of industry experience
Degree in biology, immunology, bioengineering, pharmaceutical sciences or related field required
Research experience in immunology, molecular and cell biology techniques preferred
Understanding of in vivo models and microbiology is a plus
Highly motivated with strong innovative and development skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Must be a creative, detail oriented person with strong analytical skills
Ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment is essential for success
Ability to multi-task and execute with little supervision
