The Company seeks an experienced professional to assume the role of Scientist (Histopathology). This is a full-time position and is based at our offices in Bellevue, WA.

Location: Bellevue, WA
Qualified candidates must be able to research, troubleshoot, and resolve histology related inquires and problems within the laboratory and will have experience in microscopy with strong anatomical and histopathology knowledge. The Scientist is able to design, implement, and report on varied studies utilizing anatomic, molecular pathology, and quantitative morphometric techniques including histopathology, immunohistochemistry, and image analysis.
The Scientist must be competent in all areas of the histology laboratory including general histology procedures such as fixation, grossing, basic paraffin, plastic techniques including processing, infiltration, embedding, polymerization, and sectioning and staining under GLP laboratory conditions.
The qualified candidate will possess the following:
PhD in basic science and 2+ years of related experience required.
Previous experience with bone histology and histomophometry is preferred.
Ability to develop and validate non-standard methods and detect and correct spurious results.
A proven background in analysis and interpretation of histological data is important.
Strong written and oral communication skills, self-motivation, independence, excellent scientific leadership skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision is expected.
