This Scientist/Senior Scientist position will contribute to our ongoing efforts to generate endodermal lineage cells from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs).
Skills and Responsibilities:
Work with project team members to develop differentiation methods for generation of endodermal lineage cells from induced pluripotent stem cells.
Stem cell culture, differentiation and characterization.
Defining project goals. Experimental design to achieve project goals, and organization and communication of experimental results.
Qualifications:
A PhD degree in a field closely related to stem cell biology or biology of cells from the endodermal lineage, with at least two years post-doctoral experience.
Excellent cell culture, quantitative molecular biology and cell biology experience. Deep knowledge of quantitative molecular biology techniques (such as QPCR) and cell biology techniques (such as flow cytometry and high content imaging) is highly desirable.
Applicants must have demonstrated capabilities in hES or iPS stem cell culture, including experience differentiating stem cells into terminally differentiated cells, preferably endoderm-lineage cells, using well-defined, documented protocols.
Applicants should possess strong work ethic, initiative, the ability to multi-task, and a desire to acquire new technical skills.
Applicants should have strong written and oral communication skills including technical writing and notebook documentation skills
Project planning and experience operating in a team-based multidisciplinary environment is desirable.
Industry experience and personnel management experience is desirable.
