Scientist Enanta Pharmaceuticals
DescriptionWe have an immediate opening for Ph.D. level Scientist in our chemistry group working on antibacterial and anti-HCV research projects. Candidate will carry multi-step chemical syntheses/modifications to make specific compounds of interest for SAR studies in the drug discovery program. Candidates will also be involved in the scale up of key intermediates and chemical process development.
Requirements
Candidates must have a strong synthetic organic chemistry background and be able to carry out diverse chemical reactions on complex molecules and natural products.
Candidates should be familiar with modern analytical and purification equipment such as HPLC, NMR, MS, combiFlash, etc.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry with more than two years of postdoctoral and/or industrial experience. Training in total synthesis with a background in transition metal catalysis in organic synthesis and industrial experience from major pharmaceutical companies are desirable.
Candidates should be highly motivated and productive with a track record of being a self-starter and working well within a team.
The position requires the candidate to be actively in the lab; and be able to start work immediately.
