Scrum Master CoreDial

Position Overview:

The ideal Scrum Master candidate will enforce the rules of the Scrum process; maintain a cohesive and highly productive team while constantly improving the company?s standards of work. The Scrum Master acts as a project manager to maintain processes and coordinate the development and product teams. This role is also a member of a team responsible for the requirements, design, construction, integration, testing, verification and maintenance of the company?s software
products.

Responsibilities:

Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings
Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility
Help further implement and adapt agile and scrum methodologies into the company
Ensure development team is practicing core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility
Investigate, analyze and make recommendations to management regarding technology improvements, upgrades and modifications
Develop software according to functional and technical design specifications and maintain a ?common sense? approach that serves to recognize potential design gaps and provide insight into closing them.
Assist in continual improvement of software configuration management process.
Support the development team by assisting with organizing and updating the sprint backlog ? Manage the team ? Ensure that daily, sprint, release commitments are being upheld
Remove impediments ? remove obstacles that are preventing the team from accomplishing its sprint goals.
Radiate information ? ensure that the team?s progress and successes are highly visible to all stakeholders, including the team itself. These radiators may take the form of various Scrum artifacts, from backlogs to burndown charts.
Follow methodology ? ensure that the team lives by the values and practices of Scrum. The Scrum Master protects the team by making sure they do not over-commit themselves to what they can achieve during a sprint.

Skills

A Bachelor?s Degree from a four-year university is required.
2-3 years experience as a Scrum Master preferred.
Experience as a Project Manager required.
Working knowledge of Agile Development methodology required.
Technical Knowledge
Solid knowledge of web development technologies (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, HTML, AJAX, JavaScript)
Experience with configuration management and change control
Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle
