We are seeking a highly skilled, team oriented individual to train to become a SCRUM Master. The SCRUM master is responsible for managing a scrum team, which consists of 5-7 cross functional employees, assigned to a specific product line to deliver high-quality software solutions. The scrum master responsibilities include facilitation of the scrum process, rolling-up the information across all teams, providing agile velocity-based schedule forecasting and estimating product backlog items. The successful candidate will be an energizing leader, bring strong inter-personal communication and facilitation skills, be detail oriented, thorough, and results focused.
Responsibilities
- Organize and conduct SCRUM meetings
- Partner with Product Owner to achieve maximum project return on investment and meet project objectives
- Manage sprint planning and execution which includes the management of project progress and provide status & visibility
- Identify and manage cross team dependencies
- Serve as a mentor and coach for sprint teams. Facilitate issue resolution with the team
- Work in cross-functional project teams that include Development, Product Management, Marketing, Usability, Quality Assurance, and Client Delivery.
- Facilitate Scrum teams that include both local and remote team members in engineering, testing and product owner/product management.
Required Skills & Experience
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Scrum Master Certification is a MUST.
- 3- 8 years in a technical software development environment.
- 1-4 years experience as a software Program/Project Manager using Agile techniques. Preferably 3+ years experience being a SCRUM Master.
- Must have experience as a Scrum Master accomplishing multiple initiatives.
- Advanced understanding of and experience with Software Development project life cycles, as well as advanced project management skills.
- Experience with SCRUM
- Experience with Microsoft, Project, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Solid oral, written, and presentation as well as strong interpersonal skills are required.
- Proven track record of being a strong team player with a results oriented attitude.
- Self-starter able to work well in new and undefined environments
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
