Avalara is looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to support the SDK team located at our corporate offices on Bainbridge Island, WA. Reporting to the Sr. National Director of Ecommerce Sales, this individual will draw on their sales success and management expertise to sustain the teams current success and execute a strategy for continuing to improve the groups performance including the use of teaching, mentoring and coaching methods.
Operating as part of a team, our Regional Sales Managers are responsible for selling Avalaras sales and use tax solutions and working with our partners to promote and increase sales to their customers.
Assist with implementing the strategic direction of Avalaras SDK business by thinking creatively and innovatively about how to achieve the best results possible from an individual, team and/or company perspective
Demonstrate high levels of professionalism, leadership, situational and strategic sales expertise
Inspire, motivate and manage team members and take a solution driven approach to problem solving in order to consistently achieve and exceed monthly and annual deal volume, revenue and attachment rate targets
Model a strong sense of ethics and the adaptability and versatility required to be successful in a dynamic business environment
Experience and Skills:
Deep and broad network of strong customer and partner relationships that can be leveraged, ideally including existing relationships with Development, System Integrations and E-Commerce partners and/or customers
Masterful approach to the entire sales process, to products and processes and to sales management
Relevant Bachelors degree, MBA preferred
Familiarity with Salesforce.com preferred
Specialized knowledge of compliance services, including sales and use tax calculation, exemption certificate management, filing and remittance, and a broad array of related services would be advantageous
Minimum 5+ years of experience solution sales experience
Minimum of 5 years of direct sales staff management experience
Track record of successfully building and sustaining relationships with clients (whether end users, solution partners or channel partners) in a business solutions, software sales role
