SDM Data Consultant Emptoris

The role of Spend Data Consultant in SDM team is to provide domain expertise, technical prowess, and project management for spend analysis engagements. This domain expertise includes, but not limited to industry specific material and service specifications as well as process expertise for data management and quality control. The Spend Data Consultant will work with Data Analyst team on purchasing and/or accounting input data files to make the information meaningful and actionable for Spend Analysis. Additionally, Spend Data Consultant will contribute to the development of reusable knowledge in terms of Knowledge Bases, Process Documentation, Standards etc. Spend Data Consultant must have a unique combination of strong domain, business and data processing skills as well as excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities include:

1. Analyze client input data and make strategies for data enrichment process.
2. Support and guide the project team in data enrichment process.
3. Create and maintain process benchmarks, standards and instructions.
4. Define standards and measure data enrichment quality.
5. Refine and customize the enrichment process to meet client requirements.
6. Keep track of historical data elements and trends to leverage it for future projects.
7. Extend support to build and maintain reusable information repositories like knowledge bases, reference materials, etc.
8. Champion the domain and process knowledge sharing activities among the teams.
9. Contribute to automation and technology development activities.

Candidates should have the following skills:

1. Strong domain knowledge in industry specific materials and services of type MRO, IT and Support Services.
2. A background in at least 2 of the flowing functions;
3. Sourcing, Purchasing, Accounting, Store keeping/Warehousing, Material Management
4. Strong analytical and decisions making skills.
5. Quality conscious, result oriented and innovator.
6. Ability to define & estimate tasks and works with project teams.
7. Ability to guide and educate team members.
8. Good Data File Processing, SQL and RDBMS skills
9. Familiarity with Master Data Management concepts and procedures
10. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and procedures

Candidate with 5+ years of industrial experience with above listed skills will be the best suit.
Candidates having knowledge in European and/or Asian languages will be given preference.
