The Jive Data team is looking for engineers to build and improve big data processing pipelines and search indexing and analytics on top of Apache Hadoop and HBase. Our team works extensively with open source software on big data, social graph, and machine learning problems. You will have the opportunity to work with and contribute to various big data open source technologies: Hadoop, HBase, Pig, Flume, Lucene, Katta, Neo4j, and other open source projects. You will frequently work with large data sets spread across multiple compute clusters as you design and develop systems built on these technologies. You should have solid software development and testing skills, strong systems experience, and great people skills.
Minimum Job Qualifications
-A BS/MS in Computer Science (or equivalent).
-Proficiency in Java.
-Excellent communication skills.
-Preferred Job Qualifications
-Hands-on experience with Apache Lucene, Solr, Hadoop, HBase, or related open source systems.
-Experience with distributed systems.
