SEARCH MARKETING SPECIALIST.
The Search Marketing Specialist is responsible for advising, executing, managing, analyzing and reporting against interactive marketing campaigns for, Paid Search. In addition, the SMS will help to create, edit and optimize PPC Landing Pages through actionable web analytics insights, continuous A/B, multivariate testing and conversion diagnosis to generate maximum results. The Search Marketing Specialist will also act as the consultant and referent expert in relation to paid search activities such as, account structure, best practices, account review, account setup, keyword analysis and conversion optimization.
Responsibilities:
Paid Search:
The SMS will manage all paid search activities for a portfolio of top tier university degree programs for Google (display, search, re-marketing), Facebook, Microsoft, LinkedIn and will include the following responsibilities:
o Maintain and monitor keyword bids, monthly budget caps, click through rates, impression share, quality score and other important account metrics.
o Conduct keyword/segmentation research and analysis
o Analyze/Audit accounts on an ongoing basis to develop strategies for keywords, adgroup/campaign structure, re-marketing, and display (Google/Facebook/LinkedIn).
o Develop and implement ppc campaigns, on all channels (Google, FB, Bing, LinkedIn) for new degree programs.
o Optimize performance of PPC ad copy, keywords, and match types to test/improve CTR, impressions, clicks, cpl, and leads.
o Monitor/Report on account performance against goals and budget for lead volume, spend, cost per lead and quality.
Website & Landing Page Conversion Optimization:
The Search Marketing Specialist will develop conversion diagnosis and treatments to conduct A/B and multivariate tests that seek to optimize the performance of our Landing Pages.
The SMS will develop a conversion analysis which will clearly define actionable recommendations, the logic behind them and the anticipated outcome.
Will leverage their advanced knowledge of web analytics, usability/user experience, information architecture, conversion diagnosis, personas, A/B, and multivariate testing to develop strategic and actionable recommendations that optimize the performance of our interactive marketing assets
Will work collaboratively with Marketing, IT, and Studio to design, develop, implement and manage the A/B and or Multivariate tests.
Web Analytics:
The SMS will utilize Google analytics to analyze and report the performance of our interactive marketing materials.
Will be responsible for account setup, implementation and management.
Knowledge of features such as advanced segments, goal tracking, bounce rates, exit pages, will be used to provide feedback and recommendations to improve performance.
Additionally, the SMS will leverage Adwords data ? day parts, keyword positions etc to optimize and tune the paid search accounts which they manage.
The successful candidate will possess:
Requirements: Required skills/attributes
Bachelor?s degree in Marketing, MIS, or related field
At least 2-3 years of Paid Search experience with Adwords (Re-marketing, Display, Search), Bing, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Managed at least 10k per month in ppc spend.
Experience with web analytics, A/B and Multivariate testing applications.
Knowledge of web usability, user experience, and conversion optimization preferred.
Basic HTML/CSS; CMS experience preferred
Professional oral and written communication skills for effective contact and presentation with stakeholders; including management, marketing, creative, production, external clients and outside vendors.
Proven track record of developing actionable recommendations from quantitative analysis that meets or exceeds performance goals
Proficient with PPC management (adwords editor), reporting and analytical tools
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills and the ability to work under pressure with tight timelines.
Ability to create buy-in from multiple constituents in a collaborative cross-functional environment
